        I'm a longtime diehard sports fan and athlete, first writing about sports in high school as a senior covering the football team in 1986. Fast forward to 2000 and it was the daily NBA Awards that got me back into writing. Originally just an email to my fantasy league covering the best and worst individual performances of the night, I eventually added commentary and dozens more people became cc'd on the Awards email. 

 

        In 2007 'Speedburner on Sports' was born as an occasional piece at the SportsCity website, alongside my 'Todd's Tennis Takes' column. I'd always envisioned the day when I had my own site, gathering all my sports passions together in one place - even the 'fringe' sports skateboarding and beach volleyball. Well, that day has come - welcome to 'Speedburner on Sports', one man's view of the wide sports landscape.

 

       I live in Southern California with my wife and two boys doing freelance sports TV work as well as coaching my 8 yr old in tennis.

Museum Piece.
